How to Set Up a Recurring Pickleball Series

Set a game to repeat weekly or fortnightly, choose an end date, and edit one night or every night that follows.

If your crew plays every Tuesday night, you shouldn't have to rebuild that game from scratch every week. A recurring series puts your regular game on repeat: you set it up once, pick how often it happens, and Pikel keeps creating each game on schedule — real games your players can RSVP to, not just a reminder. A standing game is one of the best ways to keep people coming back. Here's how to set one up.

Step 1 — Create the game you want to repeat

Start a new game the way you normally would — choose the format, the day and time, your courts, and the player cap. This first game is the blueprint: every future one in the series is copied from it, so set it up exactly the way you want every week to look.

Step 2 — Turn on Make Recurring

Scroll to the Make Recurring toggle and flip it on. It carries the subtitle "Auto-create games on a schedule" — which is exactly what it does. Turning it on reveals the schedule controls, and from here Pikel will generate each game automatically, keeping about 30 days of upcoming dates on the calendar and rolling the schedule forward as they pass.

Step 3 — Pick your cadence and day

Under Repeat, choose how often the game runs:

  • Weekly — every week.
  • Every 2 Weeks — a biweekly rhythm.
  • Monthly — once a month.

Then tap the day it lands on. A weekly series lets you pick more than one day of the week — for example Tuesday and Thursday — and Pikel schedules each one. A monthly series repeats on a single day.

Step 4 — Set when it ends

Choose a Recurring Until date — tap one of the presets or pick your own. Pikel keeps generating games up to that date and then stops, so the series doesn't run forever. You can always come back and extend it later.

Step 5 — Club, group, or just you

You don't need a club to run a recurring game. A series can be personal — hosted by you alone, with no club or group attached — which is perfect for a standing pickup game among friends. Inside a club, any member can set one up as long as the club allows members to create events (it does by default, and admins can turn it off). Inside a group, any member of that group can.

Step 6 — Change or cancel it later

Plans change, and a series can keep up. Open any game in the series to edit it, and choose the scope — This game only, This and future games, or the Entire series — so a one-off tweak, a change from this date onward, or a change across the whole run each stays in its lane. Skipping a single week for a holiday or court closure? Edit or cancel just that date. Done with the series entirely? Choose Entire series and the upcoming games clear out together.

Pro tip

Set the series to repeat on the same night your group already treats as "pickleball night," then share it once. Because every occurrence is a real game with its own RSVP list, players see the next date on their calendar without you lifting a finger — and a game that's always on the schedule is a game people build their week around. Pair a standing series with a lively club chat and casual signups quietly turn into regulars.

Common questions

How do I set up a recurring game series?
When you create a game, turn on Make Recurring and pick a cadence — Weekly, Every 2 Weeks, or Monthly. Pikel then auto-creates each game on that schedule, so your regular game is on repeat instead of being rebuilt every week.
Can I run a recurring series without a club?
Yes. A series can be personal — hosted by just you, with no club or group attached. Inside a club, any member can create one as long as the club allows members to create events, which it does by default; inside a group, any member of that group can.
What repeat schedules can I choose?
Weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. For a weekly series you can pick more than one day — say Tuesday and Thursday — and Pikel schedules both. A monthly series repeats on a single day.
How do I change or stop a recurring series?
Open any game in the series. From there you pick a scope — 'This game only', 'This and future games', or 'Entire series' — so you can change or cancel a single date, everything from that date forward, or the whole run in one go.
