Pickleball Code of Conduct
Pickleball is the friendliest sport there is. Let's keep it that way. These rules apply everywhere on pikel: games, clubs, tournaments and chat.
Play fair
Sportsmanship. Win with humility, lose with grace, call the lines honestly.
Respect everyone. No harassment, bullying, hate or discrimination, on court or in chat.
Honest ratings. Enter your real skill level and real scores. Sandbagging, meaning playing below your level to win easier divisions, spoils the game for everyone.
Keep your commitment
RSVP honestly. If you can't make it, cancel as early as you can so the next player on the waitlist gets your spot.
Show up. Club and game admins may remove players who repeatedly don't show.
Keep it real
Guests are real people. Add guests only for people who are actually playing. Don't pad a game, club or tournament with fake players.
List it honestly. Describe games, levels, fees and venues accurately. Label coaching and paid services clearly.
Scores are records. Don't enter or edit scores you know are wrong; they feed standings and DUPR.
Respect privacy and safety
Privacy. Don't share other people's contact details, or photos of them they wouldn't want shared.
Safety first. Zero tolerance for anything that endangers a player, especially minors.
Your content. You own what you post. You let pikel show it to the people it's meant for (see Terms).
What happens if someone breaks the rules
Report and block. Anyone can report a message or a player in the app, and block someone.
Admins run their own spaces. Club and game admins can remove members and messages in their own spaces.
We review. pikel reviews reports and may remove content or suspend accounts.
Report a problem
In the app. Press and hold a message or open a player's profile and choose Report.
By email. Otherwise, email support@pikel.app.
In an emergency. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
